Fell End Camping Barn

Description of the barn

Fell End is a traditional 18th Century Lakeland stone barn, located within its own grass courtyard approximately ½ mile from the farm. It is within easy distance of Coniston (6 miles) and the Duddon Valley (5 miles). There are magnificent views towards the Coniston and Langdale Fells, down to the Duddon Estuary. Come and stay and witness the Star-Filled Skies, a truly breathtaking sight. Experience the ‘Sound of Silence’ in the tranquil and calming Fell End Barn.


Facilities

There is no electricity at Fell End barn, you will therefore need to bring with you suitable forms of lighting eg. head torches / gas or LED lamps. One room has 2 picnic tables for eating, and a slate worktop for food preparation etc and a small wood burning fire.  There is a seperate room for sleeping which has 12 mattresses on a raised wooden platform. There is a cold water wash basin and w.c. There is a firepit outside, please remember to bring your own logs, kindling, firelighters and matches.  Please note access to Fell End barn is via an old stone cart track for approx. ½ mile.

No Pets Allowed


Further notes

Arrival time is after 3pm and no later than 9pm. The barn must be vacated by 10am on the morning of departure. The Key can be collected from the Farmhouse on the way to the Barn.
