Description of the barn
The barn is among traditional buildings, on a typical Lakeland hill farm with hardy Herdwick sheep. In one of the quietest and most idyllic valleys in the Lake District, between Buttermere and Crummock Water, it provides a good base for walking, climbing and fishing. Two hotels serving non residents only 200 Yards away.
Facilities
Sleeping accommodation is on the first floor reached via internal wooden steps from the ground floor. The cooking slab and eating area are on the ground floor. Mattresses are provided. Ample parking in farmyard. Heating available in ground floor area at extra cost. There is a metered shower. Hot water hand-wash in the toilet, and cold water tap (with sink) in the kitchen area.

Further notes
Arrival time is after 4pm on the day of Arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the morning of departure. Key can be collected from the Farmhouse next door.
If booking with a child under 5 you must book the entire barn for the sole use of your party.
Sole use bookings for Friday and Saturday nights.
Directions
From Keswick take A66 turn left into Braithwaite and continue to Lorton via the Whinlatter Pass. Turn left to Buttermere following road signs; Cragg Farm is the first house on the right past the Buttermere village sign.
